Role overview

The NATO Support and Procurement Agency is hiring a Technical Order Distribution Junior Technician to support documentation and technical data handling in Geilenkirchen, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. This role is suited to someone with a strong background in technical publications, administrative writing, and document control, especially within military or commercial aircraft and systems environments.

Required profile

The position calls for secondary education plus 5 years of relevant post-related experience, or an equivalent educational background paired with substantial professional experience in documentation management, typically gained as a Senior Clerk after 3 to 5 years in the Agency or a comparable organisation.

The ideal candidate should be experienced with technical data and technical publications, comfortable analysing large datasets with software tools, and highly proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Strong written and verbal communication, excellent organisation, independence, self-motivation, and the ability to work to tight deadlines are all essential. A diplomatic approach when dealing with people at all levels inside and outside the Agency is also important.

What the role offers

This is a multicultural workplace with an initial 3-year contract and a competitive monthly tax-free salary, subject to Article 19 of the Ottawa Agreement on exemption from taxation. The package may include expatriation and education allowances where applicable, along with additional home leave.

Compensation

Basic monthly salary: EUR 5,260.65 tax free, before insurance and pension contributions.

Selection and policy information

Qualified redundant NATO civilian candidates of the same grade will be given priority. Interviews are expected about six weeks after the closing date, and candidates will be informed of the screening outcome in due course.

Because of the high number of expected applicants, telephone and email inquiries cannot be answered. The Agency prefers candidates whose security clearance can be processed or confirmed quickly and who can start soon after selection.

Employment status note
