About Toshiba JSW Power Systems
Toshiba JSW Power Systems Private Limited is a joint venture between Toshiba Corporation, Japan, and JSW Group, India. Established in 2008 and operational since 2011, the company focuses on manufacturing and supplying super-critical steam turbines and generators for thermal power plants in India. With a manufacturing site near Chennai spanning approximately 400,000 square meters, the company aims to produce mid to large-sized steam turbines and generators ranging from 500MW up to 1000MW for high-efficiency thermal power plants. Supported by Toshiba's Yokohama facility, the goal is to achieve an independent production scale of 3,000MW annually.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC heavy-duty lathe and manual lathe machinery efficiently.
- Interpret CNC programs utilizing FANUC controllers accurately.
- Set up and adjust various turning tools for machining tasks.
- Manage heavy job setups on large lathe equipment.
- Utilize measuring instruments such as OD/ID micrometers, bore dial gauges, and surface roughness testers with precision.
- Understand and read engineering drawings, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Perform diverse turning operations proficiently.
- Maintain awareness of tooling types, settings, and tool offsets specific to turning inserts and tools.
- Adhere to safety protocols during all operations.
Candidate Requirements
- Hands-on experience operating CNC heavy lathe machines.
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming principles and practices.
- Competent in reading and interpreting technical drawings effectively.
- Experience in setting up and performing heavy turning jobs.
- Proficient in tooling setups and offset adjustments.
- 4 to 8 years of relevant professional experience.
- Educational qualification: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
