We are excited to offer three Surveillance Officer positions based in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. As a Surveillance Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting security efforts nationally.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor operations to ensure full compliance with security policies and procedures.
• Identify any irregular activities, including cheating in betting and gaming, theft by patrons or employees, and suspicious or unusual behaviors.
• Conduct managerial checks related to cellphone use, cleanliness, loitering, and opening/closing procedures.
• Participate in emergency drills and situations as required.
• Submit detailed reports of violations and suspicious incidents to the Surveillance Manager and Operations Department both verbally and in writing.
• Carry out investigative assignments as directed by the National Surveillance Manager.
• Maintain effective communication with emergency services including police (Flying Squad - 10111), armed security response, fire rescue, and paramedic teams.
• Provide direct support to onsite field security officers through vigilant observation and reporting.

Candidate Profile

• Experience relevant to the security sector is essential.
• Strong communication abilities and proficiency in report writing.

Preferred Qualifications

• Holding a Grade C Security Certificate is a distinct advantage.
• A valid driver’s license will be considered beneficial.
