Support Security

Role Overview

This position is responsible for supporting security operations across the plant so that company assets, employees, and site activities remain protected. The role also covers guard supervision, coordination with external stakeholders, safety compliance, and continuous improvement in plant systems.

Key Responsibilities

Primary duties include monitoring security coverage, coordinating shift planning, ensuring guard discipline, and supporting plant safety and system-improvement activities.

Security Operations

• Oversee security arrangements across the full plant premises to help protect the unit’s assets and workforce.
• Verify the daily deployment of security personnel across the plant.
• Prepare duty rosters and shift schedules.
• Ensure security agency bills are submitted on time.

Security Guard Management

• Track attendance of security guards accurately.
• Maintain discipline among deployed guards.
• Ensure the security barracks are kept clean and properly maintained.
• Orient newly deployed guards to the plant layout and geography.

Liaison and Coordination

• Develop working relationships with government officials in different locations to support uninterrupted plant operations.
• Coordinate with local police at various locations to help maintain law and order.

Intelligence and Vigilance

• Collect information on activities inside and around the plant and keep a close watch on worker behavior and any disruptive elements.
• Manage vigilance processes such as night vigilance duty, CCTV monitoring, MIS reporting, and related checks.
• Work with the IR team during emergencies.

Safety, Health, Environment and Sustainability

• Ensure full compliance with safety standards and all applicable recommendations in the assigned area.
• Train team members on job awareness, hazard identification, control measures, and escalation to seniors.
• Conduct scheduled safety rounds and report accidents, incidents, and near misses in the system.
• Lead daily toolbox talks, including before any critical task and along with SWP where required.
• Take active part in safety trainings, safety sub-committees, standard champions meetings, and safety events.
• Promote housekeeping, efficient use of utilities, and prompt reporting of water, oil, or air leaks and other abnormalities.
• Encourage environmentally responsible practices and spread awareness on conserving natural resources.

System Management and Continuous Improvement

• Support implementation of IMS and other system requirements to improve plant working conditions and quality standards.
• Implement improvement projects to reduce repeated issues, breakdowns, or losses.
• Submit Kaizen, OPL, good-to-fine, and system suggestions on time.
• Help build and sustain model areas in the assigned sections.
• Participate actively in KFA and GRT meetings and contribute ideas on technology, innovation, and productivity improvements.
• Conduct awareness programs for team members at the ground level.
• Understand IMS and audit-related document requirements for non-conformities during internal and external assessments.
• Follow SOPs for critical spares and consumables without deviation.
• Identify leakage or unsafe points, arrange rectification, and monitor corrective action for emission levels.
