Overview
Thiess, a global leader in open cut and underground mining operations, invites seasoned Storepersons to join their Iron Bridge team on a 14/7 roster. As part of a culture focused on excellence and employee growth, this role involves working under the Planning and Warehouse Supervisor to ensure efficient tool and asset management on a mining site.
Key Responsibilities
The Storeperson will oversee tool store operations, ensure tooling inspection and calibration meet standards, and manage tooling assets via the WASP system. Responsibilities also include entering sample oil data into Oil Commander, managing workshop consumables, coordinating tooling repairs, and supervising waste collection activities involving general and hydrocarbon waste with third-party services. Extensive experience in warehousing and logistics in mining environments is essential, alongside proficiency in JDE software and Microsoft Office. The role requires a Forklift High Risk licence.
Candidate Profile
Ideal candidates possess strong organizational, communication, and time management capabilities. They demonstrate advanced problem-solving skills particularly related to stakeholder concerns and operational challenges. Knowledge of inspection, testing, and tagging for lifting, working-at-heights, and electrical equipment is necessary.
