Store Driver

Job Overview

This role is designed for an entry-level store position primarily responsible for delivering automotive parts to commercial clients, assisting in inventory tasks, and supporting various store operations. Candidates must be certified in fleet safety and possess a valid driver's license. Both part-time and full-time options may be available.

Main Duties

• Ensure safe delivery of parts to customers as required
• Prepare orders by picking and staging parts
• Collect returns and core parts
• Distribute weekly and monthly sales flyers
• Handle daily collections for credit accounts

Additional Duties

• Maintain store cleanliness including floors, restrooms, shelves, and parking areas
• Assist with stock management including truck and backroom stocking

• Ability to read and interpret instructions, safety rules, maintenance documents, parts catalogs, and manuals
• Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
• Willingness to work varied shifts including evenings and weekends

Preferred Experience

Familiarity with automotive parts is advantageous.

Certifications and Requirements

A valid driver's license and fleet safety certification are mandatory.

Physical Requirements

The position requires frequent walking or standing and physical ability to handle tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Tasks may include climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Visual acuity for close and distant vision, color perception, depth perception, and focus adjustment is necessary.

Work Environment

Mostly indoor work with occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions. The role may involve interaction with moving machinery, elevated locations, chemicals, electrical hazards, explosives, and moderate noise levels.

Compensation

The hourly wage begins at 14.25 CAD and can go up to 17.10 CAD depending on experience, location, retail history, automotive knowledge, education, leadership, additional skills, and applicable shift differentials.
