Job Summary
This role involves picking, staging, and safely delivering automotive parts to professional customers, along with managing returns and cores. The driver also promotes sales through flyers and loyalty programs while maintaining daily credit account collections and fostering customer relationships. The position requires upselling skills and assistance with store upkeep, inventory management, and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver parts securely to pro customers
- Collect returns and core items as required
- Distribute weekly and monthly sales flyers, promoting ongoing sales and loyalty offers
- Manage daily collection of credit accounts
- Develop and sustain positive relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers, providing customer support personnel with insights from deliveries
- Support upselling and cross-selling efforts to enhance average transaction values
- Maintain cleanliness of store facilities including floors, restrooms, product displays, and parking area
- Handle general stocking tasks such as truck stocking, back stock organization, and cycle counts
- Keep informed on product inventory and new arrivals to assist customers effectively
- Engage walk-in customers by understanding their needs and recommending appropriate parts or services
- Perform other duties assigned by management

Essential Skills

- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
- Flexible availability to work various days, evenings, and weekends as necessary
- Confidence in customer engagement and product promotion
- A willingness to learn about new product lines and sales strategies
Preferred Experience
Previous experience with automotive parts is preferred.
Education and Licenses
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record mandatory
Physical Demands
This position requires frequent walking or standing and use of hands and fingers for handling items. Employees must be able to talk and hear effectively and perform movements such as reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Regular lifting of items up to 50 pounds and occasional assistance to lift up to 100 pounds is necessary. Visual requirements include near, distance, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
Work is primarily indoors with occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions during tasks like installing parts. Employees may encounter moving mechanical parts, elevated areas, hazardous chemicals, electrical risks, explosives, vibrations, and moderate noise levels.
Compensation
The hourly wage ranges from 1760 to 1885 CAD cents per hour, influenced by location, retail experience, automotive knowledge, education, leadership roles, skills, and shift differentials.
