STEM Researcher

Role Summary

We are seeking a full-time STEM Researcher who will work remotely from any location. This position involves designing and solving complex STEM challenges aimed at exploring the boundaries of large language model capabilities. The role includes producing clear, detailed solutions with well-explained reasoning.

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop and address difficult STEM problems to test the limits of large language models.
• Produce high-quality, step-by-step solutions articulating clear reasoning processes.
• Collaborate with large language model researchers to ensure problem alignment with evaluation targets, focusing on abstraction, multi-step reasoning, and symbolic manipulation.
• Contribute to defining new evaluation benchmarks based on physics topics ranging from early undergraduate to doctoral levels.
• Utilize artificial intelligence to enhance analytical skills and ensure ongoing career growth in an AI-driven environment.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Strong analytical aptitude grounded in STEM, especially at engineering entrance exam or graduate/Postdoctoral level.
• Capability to simplify and clarify complex STEM ideas effectively.
• Creative and lateral thinking skills to tackle challenging issues innovatively.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities suitable for a remote work setting.
• Self-driven with the ability to work independently, supported by a dependable computer and internet connection.
