About the Role
The Stakeholder Manager position reports directly to the Project Director and Technical Director within the Programme Team. This role is responsible for managing the interface between the DGDA Programme and key stakeholders to ensure smooth collaboration and successful project execution.
Project Overview
This initiative is a significant infrastructure programme centered on a mixed-use development in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, aiming to establish a globally recognized landmark. The development will serve as a self-sustaining community featuring several iconic assets. KBR is providing Project Management Consultancy services spanning project planning, controls, design and engineering management, and implementation of early works and development packages.
Main Responsibilities
- Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholder agencies to facilitate efficient communication with the DGDA Programme.
- Provide support to the Technical Team and Delivery Managers in escalating and resolving project issues within stakeholder organizations, ensuring no delays to project schedules due to approvals and permits.
- Gain comprehensive insight into each stakeholder agency’s processes and challenges to assist the DGDA Phase 2 PMC team in tailoring project requirements suitably.
- Relay stakeholder concerns to the PMC team and contribute to accurate project scheduling, reflecting approval and permit timelines.
- Participate in coordination meetings with stakeholders, reporting issues, concerns, and action points to the relevant managers.
- Assist the Technical Team and Delivery Managers in resolving conflicts involving stakeholders, Design Consultants, and Contractors.
- Offer support to the Interface and Engineering Teams during stakeholder meetings or discussions.
- Keep detailed records of stakeholder concerns, actions assigned, responsible parties, and deadlines.
- Propose improvements aimed at enhancing communication and approval procedures with stakeholders.
Experience, Skills, and Knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent field experience.
- At least 15 years of relevant industry experience overall.
- A minimum of 10 years specifically in stakeholder management roles related to projects.
- At least 5 years of regional experience, preferably within Saudi Arabia.
- Fluency in both Arabic and English, written and spoken.
- Strong knowledge of design and construction management focusing on civil infrastructure projects, including utilities interface and coordination management.
- Specific experience working with Government Authorities and Utility Service Providers; prior exposure to Saudi Arabian authorities is advantageous.
- Proven capabilities in developing and managing stakeholder relationships effectively.
