Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Software Vendor Manager to handle vendor relationships especially related to our Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) activities. This key role ensures stability in procurement systems and aids in contract negotiations and smooth transitions during M&A processes. Acting as a liaison among product owners and cross-functional groups—including Information Security, Privacy, Third Party Risk Management, Finance, and Engineering—you will also partner directly with external vendors and internal leaders to support negotiation efforts and maintain operational alignment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversee vendor onboarding processes ensuring compliance with company policies and M&A requirements.
  • Collaborate with multiple internal teams to back M&A initiatives through expertise in procurement, vendor onboarding, contract consulting, security assessments, and sourcing activities.
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts across Legal, Compliance, Finance, and Global Sourcing to complete sourcing projects effectively.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for vendor partner interactions within your assigned domain.
  • Manage vendor relationships including communication with suppliers and negotiations of contracts and commercial terms.
  • Review and negotiate contracts to align terms with company objectives and M&A goals.
  • Develop and sustain robust relationships with stakeholders to facilitate transparent communication and shared procurement objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and supplier optimization to boost efficiency in sourcing and procurement operations.
  • Work across departments to create innovative solutions, continuously seeking value, savings, and process improvements.
  • Generate and schedule purchase orders, monitor open orders to confirm timely delivery, and audit billings for accuracy.
  • Maintain thorough documentation, management information, and databases such as project trackers and asset records.
  • Provide insightful procurement advice to business units, deliver constructive feedback, and keep leadership apprised of progress and issues.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferably in business, technology, or finance.
  • At least 3 years of vendor management experience in strategic sourcing, business operations, or program management.
  • 1-2 years experience directly supporting IT sourcing with knowledge of licensing structures.
  • Experience managing software asset management or technology sourcing contracts.
  • Two years managing budgets and implementing cost reduction initiatives.
  • Minimum one year of experience involving M&A activities.

Key Skills and Competencies

  • Strong analytical thinking, financial analysis, problem-solving, and project management abilities.
  • Experience collaborating with teams including Infosec, Privacy, Third Party Risk Management, Finance, and Engineering.
  • Proven project leadership capabilities.
