This opportunity is a six-month contract traineeship offered by foodpanda in Singapore to develop future engineering talent. Trainees will receive both classroom instruction and practical experience to craft efficient and user-centric Android applications using Kotlin.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a dynamic, cross-functional, agile team consisting of frontend and backend engineers, product owners, and designers.
• Engage in hands-on development of impactful Android applications serving millions of users.
• Gain exposure to integrating artificial intelligence within mobile development workflows.
• Contribute to and maintain large-scale mobile application codebases.

Candidate Requirements

• Interest or prior experience in learning new programming languages and software development tools.
• Basic understanding or practical experience coding in any language such as Java, Kotlin, Python, React, Swift, gained through academics, bootcamps, or self-study.
• Curiosity about AI technologies and their role in contemporary software engineering.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and a humble, inquisitive attitude.
• Proficient in English with effective communication abilities.
• Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
