About the Role

We are looking for a creative and organized Social Media & Digital Content Coordinator to join an impactful project centered on Indigenous community engagement. This remote contract position involves crafting inclusive, culturally sensitive content that connects with diverse audiences across multiple digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, plan, schedule, and publish engaging posts on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, X, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
• Monitor audience engagement, respond appropriately to interactions, and spot emerging opportunities or concerns.
• Update website content to ensure accuracy using a content management system.
• Collaborate with communication teams to align digital content with overall strategies.
• Adapt messaging for varied audiences through visual storytelling and short videos.
• Analyze performance metrics to offer insights for continuous content improvement.
• Ensure all content and messaging are respectful of Indigenous culture and inclusive, matching organizational values.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years’ experience managing social media for organizations, communities, or campaigns.
• Strong knowledge and proven use of platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, YouTube, LinkedIn, and X.
• Experience updating websites using CMS tools.
• Graphic design skills using Canva or Adobe Creative Suite considered an advantage.
• Excellent written English communication; French language skills are a strong plus.
• Ability to independently organize and prioritize tasks in a remote work environment.
• Experience working with Indigenous communities or organizations is highly valued, with Indigenous applicants encouraged to apply.
