About the Role

As a Site Traffic Management Supervisor (STMS) based in Te Kuiti, you will be actively involved in front-line operations, establishing and overseeing traffic management sites, making timely decisions to ensure smooth traffic flow, and upholding our award-winning dedication to safety. Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and maintain Traffic Management sites in strict adherence to approved plans and regulations.
  • Control live traffic conditions including stop/go signals and site layout modifications as necessary.
  • Lead and manage on-site crews by conducting toolbox talks and assigning daily responsibilities.
  • Perform site inductions, carry out safety inspections, and document all relevant records accurately.
  • Promote an active safety culture and ensure full compliance with safety standards at all times.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Possession of a current Traffic Management Operator (TMO) practicing or Site Traffic Management Supervisor (STMS) A/B practicing qualification is preferred. Candidates without active practicing status are welcome and will receive training and certification support from our dedicated training team.
  • Must hold a full New Zealand Class 1 driver’s license and be comfortable with manual transmission vehicles. Class 2 license is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams confidently and apply informed, risk-conscious decision-making on site.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Physical capability to work outdoors in diverse weather conditions.
  • Prior experience in traffic management across various worksite environments.
  • Strong dedication to upholding safety standards and practices.
