Site Engineers

Role Overview

A leading Tier 1 building contractor in Cork is looking for Site Engineers to support major residential, commercial, and industrial developments. The role focuses on maintaining high-quality delivery, making sure all work aligns with project specifications and statutory requirements, and coordinating closely with on-site teams to achieve excellent project outcomes.

Key Duties

• Carry out setting-out using engineers’ drawings, site surveys, and as-built drawings.
• Review and interpret drawings to understand layouts, material quantities, and related details.
• Coordinate effectively with subcontractors and the general workforce on site.
• Organise and sequence work efficiently so programme milestones are met.
• Work with the client’s representatives and design team members as needed.
• Ensure all activities comply with the highest health and safety standards.
• Maintain consistently high standards of workmanship and quality.
• Manage ordering and on-site control of materials.
• Keep site records updated and complete as required.

Requirements

• A completed third-level qualification in Engineering or a closely related field.
• At least 2 to 3 years of post-qualification experience.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, along with good interpersonal ability.
• Self-driven approach with a strong focus on safety, quality, and delivery timelines.
• Good IT skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
• Full driving licence.

Compensation and Benefits

• Indicative salary range of €65,000 to €75,000, depending on experience.
• Vehicle and fuel allowance.
• Additional benefits package.
