Senior Strategic Alliances Analyst

Overview

The Senior Strategic Alliances Analyst role at Qatar Airways involves unlocking value from both existing and new partnerships by identifying opportunities, facilitating business case approvals, executing projects, and continually generating value. This role supports the line manager with annual budget planning and monitoring, ensures alliance compliance, and develops expertise within the Strategic Alliances division. It leads cross-functional workstreams and fosters collaboration among internal teams and external partners to drive Strategic Alliances initiatives across the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and capitalize on revenue and cost-saving opportunities across all business units including Passenger, Cargo, Procurement, and Technical teams.
• Lead and manage internal and external meetings and working groups related to alliances.
• Organize and oversee all alliance and partnership programs, working closely with relevant stakeholders.
• Analyze performance and key performance indicators (KPIs) to propose enhancements that support Qatar Airways' network expansion and strategic positioning.
• Assist with the preparation and supervision of the annual budget for Strategic Alliances.
• Ensure all alliance activities comply with required regulations and partnership agreements.
• Manage seasonal codeshare approvals in accordance with civil aviation authority guidelines.
• Handle ad-hoc alliance-related requests across multiple departments including PRM, Sales, Distribution, Network Planning, Marketing, Procurement, Technical, and Cargo, maximizing partnership value.
• Oversee the business case approval processes on behalf of alliance planning teams.
• Support senior leadership in monitoring the performance of Strategic Alliances.
• Ensure punctual delivery of alliance-related projects and monitor progress through project tracking systems.
• Perform additional duties as assigned within the department.

Candidate Profile

Applicants should hold at least a Bachelor's degree or equivalent with a minimum of four years of relevant experience. A Master’s degree or equivalent is preferred. Experience in corporate planning, transportation, or related fields is advantageous, with consulting or advisory and project management exposure considered a plus.

Essential Skills and Attributes

• Strong knowledge of commercial aviation, strategic planning, and business management principles.
• Excellent written and spoken English proficiency.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines while prioritizing tasks dynamically.
• Advanced analytical skills with capability to perform detailed Excel analysis and data mining.
• Proficient in creating professional management presentations using PowerPoint.
• Ability to interpret and evaluate market research and reports.
• Strong interpersonal and influencing skills to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders at all organizational levels with maturity.
• Capability to work independently and collaboratively in diverse, multicultural teams, demonstrating high integrity.
• Willingness to travel and work extended hours when necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

• Deep understanding of commercial aviation economics.
• Familiarity with analysis and modeling techniques.
• Experience with statistical tools such as SAS, SQL, Access, Excel VBA, Oracle, or relevant programming languages.
