Key Responsibilities

• Lead project delivery across the entire lifecycle—from feasibility to handover—of diverse infrastructure and 3 Waters projects.
• Provide strategic leadership while engaging in detailed daily activities such as issuing contract instructions, chairing meetings, and maintaining transparent client communication.
• Manage multiple stakeholders and coordinate design and technical teams effectively.
• Oversee consenting processes and ensure robust contract documentation and reporting.
• Act as the client’s representative in all project stages, including acting as Engineer’s Representative under NZS3910/NZS3916 contracts.

Requirements and Experience

• A minimum of 8 years of postgraduate experience in civil engineering, project delivery, or construction management; including experience as a consultant or client-side Project Manager.
• Relevant degree or qualification in STEM disciplines such as Civil Engineering or Construction Project Management.
• Current driver’s license and willingness to travel locally and regionally to project sites.
• Extensive experience delivering civil infrastructure projects with a focus on 3 Waters assets; building project experience is advantageous.
• Strong expertise in New Zealand building regulations, legislation, health and safety standards.
• Ability to challenge concepts, resolve issues proactively, and implement effective solutions.
