Role Overview
The Senior Project Manager (Project Manager IV - Remote) is a vital leadership position responsible for guiding complex projects from initiation through successful delivery. This role requires adherence to established project management methodologies and policies, ensuring comprehensive execution plans are developed and followed. The manager collaborates closely with the digital and business leadership to manage risks, control scope, budget, timelines, and drive effective organizational change strategies. Excellent communication skills and deep understanding of end-to-end project management are essential, with clear reporting to stakeholders including executives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and direct project teams and resources in executing project assignments effectively.
- Define project scope by developing detailed requirements aligned with business goals and user needs.
- Oversee project budgets, including capital and operational expenditures and staffing, recommending efficient resource allocation.
- Create and maintain detailed project schedules, track action items, facilitate meetings, and report progress to stakeholders at various levels.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impacts.
- Maintain ongoing RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) logs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to ensure thorough planning for design, implementation, and testing phases.
- Adhere to project governance frameworks and apply suitable project methodologies from initiation to project completion.
- Implement quality standards consistently in planning, execution, and documentation, ensuring team compliance.
- Resolve complex challenges by considering resources, capacities, and limitations.
- Communicate effectively across cross-functional teams and multiple management levels in a dynamic environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline coupled with at least 8 years of related experience.
- A minimum of 8 years managing projects within enterprise technology, infrastructure, software development, or business application deployments.
- PMP certification is highly preferred.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Proficiency with Smartsheet or Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office; familiarity with PPM tools like OnePlan or PlanView is advantageous.
- Proven background in delivering technology solutions and crafting detailed dependency-driven project schedules.
- Experience communicating and leading business technology initiatives in cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of multiple project methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid) and practical application experience.
- Strong abilities in planning, negotiation, leadership, communication (including remote), and relationship management.
- Capability to multitask with limited supervision while maintaining high attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
- Demonstrated strong work ethic, interpersonal skills, problem-solving aptitude, and motivational drive.
- Positive outlook on change management with hands-on experience in developing and implementing organizational change management plans.
- Experience managing large-scale ERP or similar implementations is a plus.
- Prior exposure to technology project management within healthcare settings is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits
The position offers an annual salary range of $110,000 to $140,000 plus an annual bonus of up to 12% based on performance criteria. Salaries at Hanger vary by skill, experience, location, and other factors.
