Job description
About the Role
The Senior Manager - Business Support will act as the strategic right-hand partner to the Managing Director within the MD’s Office. This role involves working at the crossroads of strategy, execution, and high-impact communication, driving critical initiatives that require MD attention and ensuring their successful completion across multiple business functions and senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the MD’s strategic partner to ensure smooth progress of key projects and high-priority initiatives.
- Track, monitor, and propel the fintech business performance across teams effectively.
- Oversee critical projects that need MD oversight to ensure accountability and execution.
- Create compelling and impactful presentations for Board meetings, AGMs, investor pitches, and public forums, transforming complex strategies into engaging visual content.
- Manage executive communications by drafting reports, executive summaries, and briefs to keep the MD and stakeholders aligned.
- Collaborate closely with finance, strategy, investor relations, and operations departments to facilitate strategic priorities.
- Deliver insightful analysis that supports the MD in decision-making using data-driven recommendations.
- Engage and coordinate with C-suite executives, board members, investors, and external partners to implement the MD’s directives effectively.
- Proactively identify challenges, resolve problems, and mitigate risks to keep projects on track.
- Confidently manage competing priorities, tight deadlines, and high-pressure situations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related fields; postgraduate qualifications are advantageous.
- 10 to 15 years of total work experience, with at least 5 years in a relevant role such as consulting, strategy, investment banking, business intelligence, or executive corporate support.
- Preferred experience in financial services, fintech, banking, or telecommunications sectors.
- Robust business acumen with an in-depth understanding of corporate strategy, financial services, and market dynamics.
- Proficient in advanced PowerPoint, Excel, and data visualization tools to convert raw data into insightful presentations for executives.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing and driving alignment at senior leadership levels.
- Strong organizational and project management skills to maintain momentum on critical initiatives.
