Senior Finance Manager - APAC Projects & Automation Solutions

About The Role

Join Honeywell Technologies as a Senior Finance Manager leading the financial operations for the Projects & Automation Solutions (PAS) line of business across the Asia Pacific region. This position partners closely with the APAC PAS General Manager to steer financial performance, standardize business processes such as Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Monthly Business Review (MBR), as well as conduct financial analysis and forecasting. The role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with project reviews and productivity assessments within a matrix organizational structure, based either in Pune, India, or Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Primary Responsibilities

• Collaborate as a business partner with the APAC General Manager and cross-functional teams to promote growth and meet financial targets including revenue, operating income, working capital, and cash flow.
• Provide financial guidance to leadership in India on strategic analysis, deal-specific assessments, contract reviews, costing, and credit decisions especially during budgeting and firm proposal stages.
• Lead and coordinate the Annual Operating Plan process and support Monthly Business Reviews by analyzing profitability, project backlog and margins, utilization, billability, and recoveries.
• Drive cost productivity and enforce financial discipline by developing thorough business plans, deploying spend analysis tools, and evaluating associated programs.
• Oversee the integration of newly acquired entities and collaborate with strategic business groups (SBGs) and corporate teams, particularly at the Malaysia Principal Hub.
• Monitor and improve Customer to Cash (C2C) processes by managing working capital, minimizing bad debts, and supporting initiatives aimed at operational efficiency.
• Ensure robust internal controls and adherence to project financial reviews; conduct quarterly analytical P&L and balance sheet reviews to identify and document anomalies and variances.
• Lead process improvement projects and contribute to ad hoc assignments alongside the finance team.

Qualifications & Expertise

• Professional qualification as a Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with over 12 years of experience in finance and accounting.
• Experience in manufacturing, project management, and service industries.
• Effectiveness in interacting with diverse functional and global stakeholders.
• Proficiency in English communication, both verbal and written.
• Experienced with ERP systems, preferably SAP, and advanced skills in MS Office applications.
• Solid understanding of US GAAP, direct and indirect tax regulations, and project accounting principles.
