Senior Backend Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to architect, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Java and Spring Boot. This role involves building cloud-native applications within Alibaba Cloud infrastructure and collaborating with regional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Core Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, and maintain scalable backend applications and microservices utilizing Java and Spring Boot frameworks.
• Develop and optimize RESTful APIs and backend services to ensure high performance and reliability.
• Create cloud-native solutions deployed on Alibaba Cloud, focusing on efficient application deployment and operation.
• Investigate and resolve application issues through root cause analysis and implement enhancements in performance, reliability, and code quality.
• Work closely with architects, product managers, DevOps engineers, and regional stakeholders throughout the entire software development lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields.
• At least 7 years of professional experience in backend software development, particularly with Java-based enterprise applications.
• Proven expertise with Spring Boot, microservices architecture, REST API design, and cloud-native application development.
• Fluent communication skills in both English and Chinese to collaborate effectively with teams and stakeholders across APAC regions.

Technical Skills

• Proficient in Java and Spring Boot development including microservices, object-oriented programming, and enterprise-level backend solutions.
• Experience deploying and managing cloud-native applications on Alibaba Cloud (AliCloud).
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles such as system design, database integration, testing, debugging, Git workflows, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration/deployment technologies.
• Knowledge of messaging systems and event-driven architectures like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments and adopting DevOps methodologies.
