Role overview
A Canadian public accounting firm is hiring a Senior Accountant for a fully remote engagement. The assignment requires a minimum commitment of 1 year.
Key responsibilities
- Handle year-end closing activities to support accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Support the preparation of corporate income tax filings and related compliance work.
- Draft financial statements, including the balance sheet, profit and loss statement, cash flow statement, and notes to accounts.
- Perform bookkeeping duties such as posting journal entries, carrying out bank reconciliations, and maintaining ledger records.
- Prepare compilation and review engagements along with corporate tax returns.
Candidate profile
- Candidates should have 1 to 4 years of experience in accounting or a related finance role.
- Preference will be given to Chartered Accountants and CA Final candidates.
Education
B.Com in Accounting or Accounting and Taxation.
