Senior Accountant

Job Overview

The position of Senior Accountant involves overseeing daily accounting functions to ensure precise financial records, adherence to tax laws and accounting principles, and contributing toward financial planning, audits, and evaluations. The role demands keen analytical abilities, thoroughness, and leadership in managing accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Compile and analyze financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
• Maintain the general ledger with accurate transaction entries.
• Perform reconciliations of bank statements, balance sheet components, and intercompany accounts.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll accounting processes efficiently.
• Prepare statutory filings including tax returns, GST/VAT, and TDS compliance documents.
• Facilitate both internal and external audit procedures by supplying necessary records.
• Support budgeting exercises through forecasting and analyzing variances.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory policies, and company guidelines.
• Monitor liquidity and assist treasury functions as needed.
• Enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal control mechanisms.
• Guide and supervise junior accountants, reviewing their output for accuracy.
• Assist in the implementation and refinement of ERP systems and financial software.
• Produce detailed financial reports and presentations for higher management.
