Overview
The Sales Readiness Specialist at Optimum plays a pivotal role in driving the effective implementation of sales readiness projects across various sales channels including Consumer and Business Sales, Contact Centers, Field Sales, Retail Sales, Digital Sales, SMB, Enterprise, and Market Structures. The role extends to supporting readiness efforts for B2B Care and Retention teams to enhance frontline customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and manage sales readiness programs related to product launches, service upgrades, process changes, and strategic initiatives across departments.
- Assist in project planning by monitoring milestones, recording action points, assessing risks, and ensuring timely delivery of readiness outputs.
- Create and update readiness resources such as launch manuals, job aids, FAQs, presentations, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with internal teams—including Training, Communications, Sales Operations, Marketing, Compensation, Reporting, and Technology—to compile accurate readiness materials.
- Support the preparation and delivery of presentations for sales teams, leadership sessions, roadshows, and virtual learning events.
- Oversee launch activities and provide support after launch by recognizing issues, documenting insights, and suggesting improvements.
- Develop deep expertise in Optimum’s products, services, offerings, sales workflows, and operational processes to enable frontline team success.
- Maintain tracking tools, dashboards, documentation, and status reports to keep stakeholders aligned and informed.
- Analyze business data and frontline feedback to spot patterns, identify knowledge gaps, and drive continuous improvements.
- Facilitate creation of sales communications that transform complex business details into clear, actionable information for frontline staff.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of training, communications, reporting, compensation, and operational readiness through project durations.
- Support governance activities by upholding documentation standards, tracking project outcomes, and assisting in reporting.
- Utilize Excel and other digital tools to organize data, maintain offer matrices, and produce user-friendly reference guides.
- Contribute to ongoing process improvements to streamline readiness efforts, enhance communication, and improve the overall sales team experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Education, or related disciplines, or comparable professional experience.
- Two to four years of relevant work exposure in Sales Operations, Enablement, Training, Project Coordination, Communications, preferably in telecommunications or technology sectors.
- Knowledgeable about sales methodologies and customer engagement concepts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills tailored to diverse audiences.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proven collaboration skills fostering positive cross-departmental relationships.
- Experience in preparing presentations, educational materials, documentation, and communication pieces.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams.
- Familiarity with CRM, learning management systems, knowledge management platforms, or similar tools.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude.
- Adaptable to rapid changes in a dynamic work environment.
- Demonstrates initiative, responsibility, sound judgment, and dedication to quality work delivery.
