Role Overview

The position is a full-time, on-site Sales Engineer role located in Doha, Qatar. The primary responsibility involves engaging with current and potential clients to comprehend their calibration requirements, present tailored solutions based on Vertex Calibration’s offerings, and prepare quotations and proposals accordingly. The role includes conducting technical discussions, demonstrating calibration capabilities, coordinating with the laboratory team to ensure precise service scoping and timely delivery, as well as providing pre- and post-sales technical assistance. Additional duties include following up on leads, maintaining strong customer relations, contributing to company revenue goals, supporting the tender and bid submission processes, and representing the company at client meetings and relevant industry events.

Qualifications and Skills Required

• Strong ability in sales engineering focused on translating technical calibration needs into value-driven solutions.
• Excellent technical support skills related to calibration services and instrumentation troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in managing the sales cycle and delivering outstanding customer service.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for technical presentation and internal/external collaboration.
• Preferred diploma or degree in engineering disciplines such as electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, or related fields.
• Experience with calibration, test and measurement equipment, or industrial service sales.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, standards, and calibration certificates with high attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Willingness and ability to work on-site in Doha with a proactive approach to lead generation and client management.

Experience and Requirements

• 2 to 4 years of B2B sales experience, ideally in the Qatar market.
• Background in selling instruments, testing, and measurement equipment, or pertinent technical services.
• Pre-existing client networks within oil & gas, construction, MEP, manufacturing, power, or industrial sectors considered advantageous.
• Confidence in client engagement, technical demonstrations, proposal preparation, and diligent follow-ups.
• Target-oriented mindset with strong negotiation and communication abilities.
• Valid Qatari ID with no objection certificate/transferable visa allowing release from current sponsor.
• Possession of a Qatari driving license is preferred.
• Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic or Hindi/Malayalam is a plus.
