Sales Associate

Position Objective

The Sales Associate is tasked with representing the brand by driving sales growth and providing outstanding customer service. This position also includes upholding store standards, supporting visual merchandising efforts, and assisting with various retail operations as directed by the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.

Customer Service

• Welcome customers warmly and help them choose products that suit their requirements.
• Engage proactively with window shoppers to convert them into buyers.
• Encourage customers to join the company's loyalty scheme to boost repeat purchases.
• Deliver excellent service adhering to the GUEST model: Greet, Understand, Explain, Sell, Thank.
• Possess detailed knowledge of the company’s brands to propose suitable options and promote cross-selling.
• Inform customers about product details, usage benefits, fabric composition, and care instructions.

Grooming, Attitude, and Knowledge

• Maintain a polished, professional appearance at all times.
• Be flexible and willing to extend working hours during busy sales periods.
• Keep updated on product knowledge to reduce stock discrepancies and provide informed advice.

Merchandising

• Display products attractively consistent with store layout standards.
• Follow visual merchandising guidelines and proper stock handling, particularly for clearance items.
• Maintain accurate inventory records for all stock movements.
• Actively promote upselling and cross-selling to enhance sales.
• Stay familiar with current inventory and active promotions to better assist customers.

Sales Process

• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for billing and sales transactions.
• Balance cash registers at shift start and end.
• Handle payments via various accepted methods accurately, including cash, credit cards, vouchers, and automatic deductions.
• Issue receipts, refunds, and change properly to customers.
• Adhere strictly to store security protocols and loss prevention measures.
• Restock and rearrange merchandise consistently to maintain product availability on the floor.

Desired Qualification

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree, demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills, and preferably has prior experience in sales roles to help foster a welcoming shopping environment.
