Sales Associate

Position Overview

This role entails representing the brand effectively by driving sales through excellent customer service and creating a positive retail environment. The Sales Associate is also responsible for operational duties such as maintaining the store and ensuring visual merchandise standards are met as directed by management.

Primary Duties

• Warmly welcome customers and provide guidance in product selection.
• Convert casual visitors into purchasing customers.
• Encourage participation in the company's Club Apparel Loyalty Program to foster repeat business.
• Deliver service that adheres to the company's selling protocol: Greet, Understand, Explain, Sell, Thank (GUEST).
• Keep updated on all group brands to support effective suggestion selling.
• Maintain a professional appearance and grooming consistently.
• Be willing to work extended hours during sales events.
• Possess thorough product knowledge to minimize stock loss.

• Display stock according to standard layouts to attract customers, abiding by visual merchandising guidelines.
• Manage inventory records of stock receiving and dispatch accurately.
• Operate point of sale (POS) and billing systems efficiently.
• Balance cash registers at shift changes.
• Handle financial transactions including receipts, refunds, and change properly.
• Process payment methods including cash, credit cards, vouchers, and automatic debits.
• Remain vigilant about store security at all times.
• Be adaptable to varying shifts and overtime as business needs dictate.
• Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and loss prevention policies strictly.
• Keep sales figures confidential and avoid sharing with external parties.
