Role Overview
The Retail Deployment Specialist position is a hands-on role responsible for executing major technology rollouts across the store network, starting with SAP implementation and followed by a nationwide POS system deployment. The role involves close interaction with store teams across all store banners to ensure successful system transitions with minimal business disruption. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
- Support retail stores during all rollout phases including readiness assessments, staff training, system cutover, hypercare, and post-launch stabilization.
- Collaborate effectively with store owners, operational teams, program partners, and support personnel to enable smooth technology transitions.
- Operate confidently within dynamic and fast-paced retail environments to guide teams through change processes.
- Deliver hands-on assistance with training, coaching, and establishing operational setups.
- Promptly identify and resolve issues that arise during deployment and live operation phases.
- Maintain strong support and confidence among store personnel throughout the entire deployment journey.
Candidate Profile
- Solid experience in retail or FMCG sectors, ideally involving SAP implementation or large system rollouts.
- In-depth understanding of supermarket operations from end to end.
- Comfortable working directly with diverse store teams under fast-moving, real-time conditions.
- Highly organized, resilient under pressure, and capable of coordinating with multiple stakeholders including senior leadership.
- Previous exposure to POS or front-of-house technology rollouts and ability to train and coach teams through changes is highly valued.
- Flexibility to travel and adapt working hours during deployment phases is critical.
