Overview

Join our compassionate team at Acquired Brain Injury Ireland, located in Mountbolus, County Offaly, as a Residential Rehabilitation Assistant. This position centers on person-focused care, supporting adults who have acquired brain injuries to enhance their independence, confidence, and self-determination.

Key Duties

  • Develop trusting and respectful relationships providing reliable support to persons served.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of customized rehabilitation plans.
  • Promote autonomy by facilitating daily living skills, personal care, and goal-oriented activities.
  • Collaborate actively with an interdisciplinary team, participate in meetings, and update progress on the IPlanit system.
  • Maintain adherence to organizational policies, professional standards, and procedures.
  • Support budgeting, financial management, and disability benefits advice in accordance with organizational guidelines.
  • Ensure a safe, secure, and healthy environment for all.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

  • Relevant Health or Social Care certification equivalent to QQI Level 5 or above.
  • Possession of a valid full driving licence.
  • Strong communication abilities in both spoken and written English, able to engage compassionately and clearly.
  • Proficiency in basic IT systems to effectively stay connected and organized.

Preferred Experience

  • Previous work in residential or community-based environments.
  • Experience in disability or illness support sectors.

Employment Details

Positions available include permanent full-time roles (39 hours per week) as well as relief contracts. Salary ranges from ‚31,550 to ‚45,381 per annum, prorated for full-time hours.
