Report Developer (SQL, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric)

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Report Developer to join a dynamic team within the aviation finance sector, working on a 6-month contract based in Dublin 1 with a hybrid working arrangement (1-2 days onsite per week). This role offers an opportunity to work in a modern Microsoft data ecosystem and contribute to advancing the organisation's reporting and analytics capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain reports and dashboards using Power BI.
• Create and optimize SQL queries to support reporting solutions.
• Develop paginated reports utilizing Report Builder.
• Build semantic models with DAX and Power Query (M Code) to enhance reporting functionality.
• Ensure adherence to data modelling best practices.
• Support the organisation’s migration and adoption of Microsoft Fabric.
• Collaborate closely with business users, Business Analysts, and Data Architects to translate requirements into effective reporting solutions.
• Deliver scalable, user-friendly, and high-performance reporting solutions.
• Drive continuous improvements across reporting, data, and analytics processes.

Technical Requirements

• Proficient in SQL development.
• Advanced capabilities in Power BI development.
• Strong knowledge of DAX.
• Experience working with Power Query (M Code).
• Familiarity with Report Builder for paginated reports.
• Good understanding of data modelling principles.
• Desirable experience with Azure SQL Managed Instance.
• Valuable exposure to Microsoft Fabric.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Purview and Microsoft Foundry is a plus.

Contract Details

• 6-month daily rate contract starting approximately 17th August, with potential extension.

• Daily rate is negotiable based on experience.
