Relationship Manager - Large Corporate

Overview

The Relationship Manager for Large Corporate clients will be responsible for enhancing portfolio profitability by fostering and expanding relationships with both existing and new corporate clients. This role involves proactively managing client relationships, identifying business opportunities, and delivering tailored financial solutions to support client needs and bank growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive portfolio profitability by meeting targets through active relationship management with current clients and cultivating new client connections within the business unit.
• Boost marketing efforts related to credit facilities, emphasizing up-selling and cross-selling initiatives aligned with the unit's marketing strategies.
• Assess and interpret credit data and financial statements to evaluate credit risk, assist in structuring credit facilities, and define collateral requirements and terms.
• Identify and understand the needs of key existing and prospective clients.
• Manage a portfolio of small to medium-sized clients under the guidance of Senior Relationship Managers or Unit Heads.
• Analyze client feedback and complaints, ensuring timely resolution and service recovery to maintain high customer satisfaction.
• Regularly update industrial sector studies to remain knowledgeable about market trends.
• Develop financial models and perform financial spreading analyses for client accounts.
• Conduct comprehensive risk analysis based on credit data to formulate credit recommendations.
• Ensure consistent growth and stability for both credit facilities and deposit portfolios simultaneously.
• Collaborate closely with various segments to uphold high service standards and meet turnaround time expectations.
• Propose innovative ideas and process improvements aimed at business expansion and continuity.
• Analyze and evaluate client requirements for new banking products and services.
• Gather necessary documentation to facilitate credit decision-making processes.
• Carry out client field visits as part of relationship management.
• Review and endorse credit applications to ensure compliance with credit policies and favorable risk-return balances.
• Initiate strategies to expand the unit’s portfolio and customer base.
• Conduct market research to identify new business prospects and capitalize on available opportunities.
• Oversee and manage the active customer portfolio effectively.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possession of an undergraduate degree in business or a related discipline from a recognized university.
• Minimum of 8 years' experience in relationship management within a leading international or regional bank.
• Strong proficiency in English and the key languages of the target market.
• Comprehensive understanding of banking products and services.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain robust client and corporate relationships.
• Exposure to and knowledge of diverse industry sectors.
• Advanced analytical and financial modeling capabilities with a thorough grasp of financial statements.
• Extensive understanding of lending practices and credit policies.
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
