This permanent 0.9 FTE role is based in Tauranga, New Zealand, with flexibility in days and hours worked, though occasional Saturday shifts are required.
Key Responsibilities
As a Plunket Nurse, you will evaluate the growth and development of children and engage with families both in their homes and clinics. Building trust within the community, you will provide holistic, culturally sensitive, and individualized support. During a cost of living crisis, you will meet families facing significant hardships, supporting safe and healthy child-rearing environments.
Candidate Profile
You should be resourceful, resilient, and comfortable working independently in the community using sound judgment and confident decision-making to ensure high-quality care while minimizing risks. A passion for working with babies is essential, although most interactions will be with caregivers, requiring excellent active listening and tactful questioning skills.
Team Environment
Joining a supportive and stable team with strong leadership, you will find a positive workplace where you can grow professionally, share your knowledge, and contribute to enabling families to thrive regardless of your level of nursing experience.
