Recreation Experience Expert

Role Summary

This position plays a vital role in facilitating all recreation activities within the property. The expert provides guests with details about available recreational amenities such as the swimming pool, beach, entertainment zones, game rooms, gym, and children's activity center. They encourage guest participation by recruiting and organizing recreational events, aiming to create a fun and relaxing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Motivate and register guests for participation in recreational activities while fostering a welcoming atmosphere.
• Enforce rules and safety protocols in all recreational areas to ensure guest and member wellbeing.
• Monitor facilities vigilantly and respond correctly as per local operational procedures during emergencies.
• Operate cashier services at recreational points of sale when required.
• Support private group events and functions hosted in recreational facilities.
• Identify and report any unsafe situations regarding guest participation to supervisors.
• Provide first aid assistance to injured guests until emergency medical services arrive.
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of recreational equipment, supplies, and grounds.
• Document accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions, and complete safety certifications and trainings.
• Adhere to company policies, personal grooming, confidentiality, and protect company property.
• Welcome and assist guests professionally, including those with disabilities, ensuring a high service standard.
• Communicate clearly and courteously in person and on the phone using appropriate etiquette.
• Collaborate positively with colleagues to achieve team goals.
• Process transactions for equipment rentals, activities, facility hire, and retail sales efficiently.
• Comply with quality expectations and standards consistently.
• Visual inspection of tools, equipment, and printed materials for faults or accuracy.
• Utilize computers and point-of-sale systems to input and retrieve relevant information.
• Perform physical duties including standing, walking, lifting up to 11 kg unaided, and heavier with assistance.
• Navigate various work environments including elevated, narrow spaces and uneven surfaces safely.
• Carry out additional reasonable tasks as assigned during work shifts.

Required Qualifications and Certifications

• High school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
• Certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
• First aid certification.
• Training or certification in recreation and physical fitness equipment usage.
• All local and state-mandated certifications and training necessary for the role.
