Job Overview
The Receiving Clerk plays a crucial role in overseeing the hotel's receipt of goods. This position involves verifying all deliveries to ensure they match purchase orders and comply with company standards, followed by accurate recording and distribution to relevant hotel departments.
Key Duties
- Receive, inspect, and confirm quantity and quality of incoming goods against purchase orders and delivery documents.
- Document all receipts precisely and ensure prompt distribution within the hotel.
- Track and control all outgoing goods, materials, and equipment, confirming proper documentation and approvals.
- Support Accounts Payable by maintaining receiving records and assisting with invoice and delivery reconciliations.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to address any issues regarding discrepancies, damages, or shortages.
- Adhere strictly to company policies related to purchasing, procurement, finance, inventory management, and receiving protocols.
- Work alongside Finance and other hotel departments to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
- Engage in finance-related training and contribute to continuous improvements within the Finance and Procurement departments.
Qualifications and Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong focus on professional and exemplary customer service.
- Flexible and adaptable to varied work environments and operational demands.
- Preferably experienced in goods receiving or inventory control.
- Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline is advantageous.
