Role Overview

This Project Manager role involves comprehensive management of bespoke home construction projects in the Sarasota area. It is suited for an experienced construction professional who excels in a fast-paced, demanding environment and is committed to delivering exceptional quality through disciplined project oversight and robust client engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the main liaison for homeowners, architects, and designers, ensuring clear, ongoing communication and expectation management.
• Provide an outstanding client experience consistent with the high standards of Nautilus Homes.
• Develop and regularly update detailed schedules, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
• Oversee budgeting including managing subcontractor agreements, purchase and change orders, and forecasting project costs.
• Ensure timely billing aligned with project milestones and deliver accurate financial reports.
• Coordinate subcontractors and trade partners to maintain schedule, quality, and safety compliance.
• Lead job site and related meetings; manage submittals, RFIs, inspections, and enforce safety and quality controls.
• Collaborate with Superintendents to synchronize daily field operations and uphold luxury workmanship standards.
• Conduct site visits to monitor quality and assist with resolving issues while maintaining accountability.
• Assist with pre-construction activities including estimating, budgeting, and procurement.
• Support accounts payable functions to facilitate precise vendor payments and manage project documentation systematically.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in high-end custom home construction; at least 5 years in project leadership roles.
• Competent in budget forecasting, cost tracking, and maintaining transparent communication with clients and leadership.
• Proficiency with Procore software (certification preferred) and construction management tools; skilled in Microsoft Project use.
• Experience collaborating closely with architects, engineers, designers, and homeowners.
• Strong commitment to delivering superior craftsmanship efficiently and professionally.
• In-depth knowledge of Florida building codes, permits, and regional construction processes.
• Highly self-motivated, disciplined, capable of balancing independent work while aligning with company protocols.
• Clean driving record, successful background check, and cleared pre-employment compliance verification.
• Valid Florida driver's license with ability to commute within Sarasota.
• Demonstrates brand values through all client and community interactions.
