About the Role
Join Jacobs and contribute to transforming the future by addressing critical challenges in water infrastructure across Ireland and Northern Ireland. As a Design / Project Manager, you will lead impactful projects in water, wastewater, flood management, and environmental protection, helping to build resilient communities and sustainable infrastructure that serves generations.
Key Responsibilities
- Take charge of major infrastructure initiatives that secure communities and preserve water resources.
- Shape national scale programs related to water and environmental management.
- Drive innovative, sustainable, and efficient project delivery approaches.
- Lead and develop multidisciplinary teams and nurture emerging engineering talent.
- Manage projects end-to-end, encompassing concept development through to commissioning with clear authority.
About the Opportunity
Work within long-term frameworks with prestigious clients like Uisce Éireann (Irish Water), Northern Ireland Water, and the Department for Infrastructure. Lead sophisticated water and wastewater projects using methods such as Design & Build, coordinating cross-functional teams, and managing risks, budgets, schedules, and stakeholder communications. Your role supports a culture of collaboration, inclusivity, and sustainability in Jacobs’ Water team across Dublin, Cork, and Belfast.
Candidate Profile
- Substantial experience managing or designing water, wastewater, flood management or environmental projects, preferably in Ireland.
- Strong skills in coordinating multidisciplinary teams and integrating construction processes.
- Technical expertise in design oversight and/or Design & Build project delivery.
- Proficient in controlling project scope, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Familiarity with CDM / SHWW Construction Regulations 2013 and compliance obligations.
- Certifications such as APM and professional membership with ICE, Engineers Ireland or related bodies are advantageous.
