Production Manager

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to oversee manufacturing activities at our newly established transformer tank production site in Saudi Arabia. This pivotal position requires leading production planning, resource management, on-site operations, and ensuring timely delivery while maintaining strict compliance with corporate policies and local regulations. The role supports the localization of manufacturing expertise within the Kingdom.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute daily to monthly production plans ensuring timely completion of transformer tank manufacturing.
• Optimize workshop layout and balance production lines to enhance throughput and reduce bottlenecks.
• Monitor ongoing production and promptly address issues impacting delivery timelines.
• Efficiently allocate manpower, materials, machinery, and tools to meet fluctuating production needs.
• Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, and quality departments for smooth material availability and inventory control while minimizing waste.
• Lead implementation and ongoing improvements of 8S management practices to maintain orderly, safe, and compliant workshop environments.
• Conduct regular workplace inspections and audits to uphold safety and discipline standards.
• Manage and mentor multiple-shift production teams, ensuring smooth handovers and clear accountability for daily targets.
• Foster a disciplined, collaborative team culture focused on continuous improvement within the factory's shift schedules.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to identify and solve production challenges, enforce corrective actions, and enhance manufacturing processes.
• Support standardized operating procedures and systems to improve consistency and quality.
• Lead lean manufacturing initiatives to reduce costs and boost efficiency.
• Identify risks and obstacles in daily operations; develop and implement effective countermeasures.
• Take full responsibility for production goals, key performance indicators, and overall workshop performance.
• Exhibit resilience and adaptability to manage high-pressure and urgent production needs.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Saudi national (mandatory).
• Fluent in Arabic and English, both spoken and written.
• At least 5 years of hands-on production management experience in transformer tank manufacturing or comparable heavy steel fabrication/electrical equipment sectors.
• Strong expertise in workshop production scheduling, resource allocation, and 8S workplace organization.
• Proven leadership in managing shift-based production teams.
• Proficient in process optimization, management system implementation, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• High sense of responsibility, integrity, and accountability.
• Effective problem-solving skills and capability to make prompt decisions under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills for coordination with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to adapt to demanding factory schedules including shift and extended hours.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial), Manufacturing Management, or related fields preferred; advanced lean manufacturing or production management certifications are advantageous.
