About the Role

Joining Walmart Canada as a Produce Stocker offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in retail operations and customer service. This role centers around maintaining the produce section by ensuring cleanliness, proper merchandising, and supporting sales activities aligned with Walmart's core values.

Key Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain the produce department's layout and stock.
• Perform stock rotation, regularly inspecting for expired or spoiled products.
• Verify that all produce is correctly priced and clearly signed.
• Comply strictly with food safety protocols, including cold chain management, thermometer calibrations, temperature monitoring, product rotation, sell-by and expiration date adherence.
• Follow sanitation and cleaning routines to uphold food handling standards.
• Execute procedures related to ordering, markdowns, clearance, labeling, and product flagging.
• Ensure the department is consistently well-stocked and ready for customer engagement.
• Adhere to workplace Health and Safety regulations.
• Stock new merchandise and downstock items as necessary, apply product protection measures, and complete shelving setups including modular and flexible modular displays.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this position is $18.70.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
