Position Overview
We are looking for a Procurement & Contracts Manager to enhance our aftermarket, project, and service divisions. The role involves managing purchasing functions, coordinating with both global and local suppliers, and ensuring timely material deliveries to support customer projects. This position works closely with multiple departments and helps improve supply chain efficiency, delivery reliability, and cost control.
Key Responsibilities
- Issue purchase orders to third-party vendors and internal suppliers per internal requests.
- Manage supplier confirmations, delivery schedules, and related documentation.
- Maintain precise purchasing records within the ERP system.
- Track supplier performance, lead times, and fulfillment commitments.
- Communicate supplier statuses and updates to internal teams.
- Source supplier quotations for parts, materials, and services.
- Assist with supplier selection by comparing costs and lead times.
- Identify alternate suppliers to mitigate risks and reduce expenses.
- Maintain supplier contact details and pricing records.
- Support vendor negotiations under management guidance.
- Monitor open purchase orders to ensure prompt delivery.
- Actively follow up with suppliers to avoid delays and expedite critical orders.
- Escalate potential supply risks or delivery issues to management.
- Coordinate supplier shipment readiness with logistics.
- Collaborate closely with Spare Parts, Technical Sales, Projects, Services, and Operations segments to align procurement priorities.
- Support procurement planning for projects and assist in inventory-related purchasing coordination when needed.
- Contribute to internal reporting on purchasing activities.
- Identify and propose improvements for procurement process and supplier performance.
- Assist in developing procurement procedures and documentation.
- Analyze data related to purchasing trends, costs, and supplier effectiveness.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience:
- A minimum of three years’ experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain roles.
- Knowledge of Incoterms, freight coordination, or import/export procedures.
- Experience supporting project-driven businesses.
- Basic skills in negotiation and vendor management.
- Strong organizational capabilities with aptitude to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Effective communication skills with both internal teams and external suppliers.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in industrial equipment, manufacturing, construction, or engineering sectors.
- Experience engaging with international suppliers and handling logistics coordination.
- Familiarity with ERP or procurement system software.
