Role Overview
As the Pre-Owned Regional Development Manager for South England, you will collaborate directly with Porsche Centres to maximise pre-owned vehicle sales, advance dealer skills, and foster sustainable growth within the region. Your expertise in analysing business performance data and coaching retailer teams will be central to improving profitability and customer satisfaction, ensuring adherence to the high standards of the Porsche Approved Pre-Owned programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead regional pre-owned sales performance by examining trends, analysing results, and implementing corrective actions to meet volume and profit targets.
- Drive the Porsche Pre-Owned strategy by monitoring dealership performance, identifying gaps, and partnering with Centres to execute targeted improvement plans.
- Enhance dealer network capabilities by supporting and coaching on appraisal accuracy, stock turnover, pricing discipline, and retail readiness.
- Manage inventory strategy by overseeing stock mix, ageing, sourcing channels, and allocation to optimise availability and margins, encouraging engagement with all inventory sources including PCGB and VWFS end-of-contract vehicles.
- Conduct regular business reviews and KPI assessments, executing tailored improvement plans for underperforming Centres.
- Ensure operational excellence by maintaining compliance with brand standards, certification processes, reconditioning guidelines, and customer experience expectations.
- Provide training and coaching on Pre-Owned related topics such as pricing strategies and stock management best practices.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to align regional activity with national objectives.
- Prepare accurate forecasts, performance reports, and insights for senior leadership.
Candidate Requirements
- Background in automotive management, preferably focused on retail or customer performance.
- Capability to influence through trust-building, credibility, persuasion, and constructive challenges.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, coaching, and facilitation skills.
- Proficiency in analysing performance data and developing actionable plans.
- Experience negotiating at the director level.
- High commercial acumen and business awareness.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation abilities.
- Readiness to travel extensively across the network.
- Commitment to delivering excellent service to both internal and external customers.
- Awareness of industry, corporate, and customer developments.
- Active contribution to team culture and executing business strategies.
- Ability to forge strong relationships across Porsche Centre network and PCGB.
- Ensuring effective use of PCGB systems and management controls.
- Adherence to all company policies and full compliance at all times.
Additional Information
This is a full-time, permanent position offered through Porsche's sole supplier, Dekra.
