Pool Technician - Ras Al Khaimah at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company

Overview

The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company is seeking a dedicated Pool Technician for our Ras Al Khaimah location to support our renowned hospitality service by maintaining and repairing pool facilities and related equipment. This position is full-time and based onsite at Al Mazraa, Wadi Khadija.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to guest repair requests and effectively communicate with customers to solve maintenance problems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen, and mechanical equipment including cleaning and lubrication routines.
• Perform visual inspections of tools, machinery, and equipment to identify issues.
• Carry necessary equipment such as tools and radios.
• Locate and operate all main shut-off valves for equipment and building utilities.
• Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and place requisitions for parts as required.
• Coordinate with other shifts and report daily activities using company-approved communication methods.
• Demonstrate or develop knowledge in HVAC systems, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic controls, carpentry, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and building maintenance.
• Execute surface preparations, painting, drywall and wood repairs, and replace light bulbs and air conditioning filters.
• Test, troubleshoot, and fix various equipment including plumbing fixtures, electrical devices, cosmetic items, and guestroom electronics.
• Program guest TVs and manage housekeeping and engineering inventories.
• Adhere to Lockout/Tagout protocols before undertaking maintenance tasks.
• Carry out landscaping repairs including sprinkler system maintenance.
• Use basic computer skills to input schedules and adjust temperature settings for air handlers.
• Follow all company safety and security procedures, report hazards, complete mandatory safety training, and correctly store flammable substances.
• Maintain professional appearance, respect confidentiality, and protect organizational assets.
• Engage with guests warmly, anticipate and respond to their needs, assist persons with disabilities, and show genuine appreciation.
• Adhere to quality standards and collaborate positively with team members, communicating professionally.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, climbing stairs, and bending as required by job duties.
• Complete additional reasonable job functions as requested.

Qualifications

• Education: Minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience: Some background in general maintenance, surface preparation, and painting preferred. Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance is advantageous.
• Licensing: Valid Driver's License required.
• Supervisory experience is not necessary for this role.
