About the Opportunity
Allcare Pharmacy in Tralee invites applications for a Pharmacy Technician to join its team. This is a permanent, full-time role consisting of 40 hours per week across five days. The store hours run from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, with Sunday off. The current team includes a Managing Pharmacist, a support staff member, and three technicians. The pharmacy manages a reasonable range of products and services.
Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense medications under the Pharmacist's supervision, maintaining professional and caring service.
- Manage stock levels diligently and order medicines based on store needs.
- Assemble blister packs and handle claims processing and tracking.
- Assist and support the Pharmacist in the busy dispensary environment.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Previous experience in a busy dispensary is beneficial but not mandatory as newly qualified technicians are encouraged to apply.
- Familiarity with McLernons MPS system is considered an advantage.
- Completion of the IPU Pharmacy Technician course or a Higher Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Studies is advantageous.
