Role Overview
This full-time, on-site position as a Perfumer in Dubai involves designing and developing new fragrance creations, formulating and perfecting scent recipes, and assessing their performance across products. Daily responsibilities include sourcing and evaluating raw materials, conducting sensory tests, keeping comprehensive formulation documentation, and collaborating closely with research and development, marketing, and production teams to ensure fragrances meet brand expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and refine fragrance concepts and formulations.
- Evaluate raw materials and conduct olfactory assessments.
- Maintain detailed records of formulations and scent evaluations.
- Collaborate with R&D, marketing, and production to align products with brand standards.
- Support quality control processes and ensure product consistency.
- Provide technical fragrance expertise to sales and customer service teams.
- Ensure compliance with safety and industry regulations for fragrance products.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience in research, development, and fragrance formulation within the perfume or cosmetics industry.
- Strong skills in olfactory evaluation and fragrance creation.
- Customer service and sales abilities to assist in client presentations and internal communications.
- Knowledge of quality control and personal care products to maintain fragrance safety and reliability.
- Understanding of aroma chemicals, essential oils, fragrance categories, and luxury market trends.
- Meticulous attention to detail and excellent record-keeping skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Preferred educational background in chemistry, cosmetic science, perfumery, or related areas.
- Willingness to work on-site in a dynamic, high-quality environment in Dubai.
