Job description

Overview

The Payroll Processor role involves collaboration with HR, Finance, HR Technology teams, employees, and ADP to address payroll discrepancies, validate outcomes, and produce accurate payroll deliverables such as payslips, bank remittance files, and reports. This role demands meticulous attention to detail, analytical acumen, excellent customer service, and the capability to manage multiple payrolls while ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory statutes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage entire payroll cycle activities from pre-processing through post-processing for designated countries.
  • Prepare all payroll inputs including wage components, deductions, taxes, bonuses, adjustments, and off-cycle payments.
  • Analyze payroll exceptions and work with internal teams and ADP to resolve issues.
  • Utilize ADP payroll platforms to perform necessary payroll calculations.
  • Produce, review, and investigate payroll variance reports before finalizing payroll.
  • Finalize payroll calculations ensuring accuracy before approval.
  • Handle off-cycle payroll processes such as corrections, reversals, and replacement payments.
  • Create payroll reports and documentation required throughout the payroll process.
  • Validate outputs including bank files, payslips, reports, and general ledger files prior to submission.
  • Adhere to country-specific payroll calendars and ensure timely completion of payroll processing.
  • Distribute payslips and payroll reports in line with established guidelines.
  • Maintain compliance with payroll policies and statutory laws.
  • Keep comprehensive, accurate payroll records and assist with payroll audits.
  • Ensure payroll data integrity and address interface issues with upstream HRIS and timekeeping systems.
  • Participate in payroll system testing for updates or legislative changes.
  • Collaborate closely with ADP teams to resolve payroll service requests and issues.
  • Respond promptly to payroll inquiries from employees and stakeholders.
  • Monitor and close all received payroll-related tickets efficiently.
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise ownership in all payroll processing activities.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably supporting multiple countries.
  • Background working in shared services or payroll processing centers.
  • Experience with ADP or similar payroll service providers.
  • Knowledgeable in payroll legislation, internal controls, taxation, and statutory compliance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
