The Victorian Aboriginal Child and Community Agency (VACCA) is a leading Aboriginal Community-Controlled organisation dedicated to supporting and advocating for the Aboriginal community. It is the largest organisation of its kind in Australia, driven by a committed team passionate about providing services, advocacy, and support for Aboriginal children and vulnerable community members.
Role Summary
The Payroll Officer position at VACCA is a full-time, permanent role based in Preston, VIC. This role assists the Payroll Manager and Senior Payroll Officer in completing all payroll transactional processes to ensure timely and accurate payment of salaries and wages to VACCA employees. Additionally, this role supports specialized payroll functions such as Payday Super contributions, the Portable Long Service Leave Scheme, and operations related to the Deputy rostering system.

- Have proven experience in payroll operations, with meticulous attention to detail to maintain compliance with quality standards.
- Exhibit effective organisational skills to reliably meet scheduled deadlines and timelines.
- Maintain a customer-service oriented, hands-on approach to delivering payroll services with excellence.
- Contribute constructively to team discussions, problem-solving, and decision-making processes in a culturally respectful manner.
- Hold or be willing to obtain a valid Police Check, Victoria Working with Children’s Check (for paid employees), and Victorian Driver Licence.
- Current COVID-19 vaccination is strongly recommended.
