Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our manufacturing team in Grand Island, Nebraska. This full-time, on-site position involves applying various paint coatings using specialized equipment to ensure high-quality finishes on parts and assemblies.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain paint equipment such as paint guns, spray systems, paint booths, electrostatic applicators, powder coat stations, and manage paint flow and pressure settings effectively.
• Ensure complete and flawless paint coverage free from defects like runs, sags, or blemishes while achieving correct film thickness.
• Perform coating repairs using hand tools following proper touch-up procedures and apply top coats on wet parts without flaws.
• Maintain the touch-up booth equipment and determine appropriate rework techniques to deliver quality finished products.
• Apply masking materials accurately to protect areas not requiring paint and remove masking after coating is complete.
• Monitor paint delivery system pressure, identify clogging points, and replace parts as necessary.
• Keep detailed and accurate records of paint operations and maintenance activities.
• Report any irregular operations, faulty equipment, or material defects to supervisors promptly.
• Meet or exceed the company's production standards and maintain clean and organized work areas adhering to safety and quality protocols.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience in a manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Compensation and Benefits

Starting pay is $27.24 per hour.
