Operator - Operations Team (P5, Habshan, Shift 1)

Job Overview

The role involves operating and supervising process plants and facilities within the designated area in strict alignment with established operating procedures and the company’s Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform assigned operational tasks in a safe manner adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment to detect abnormalities and report any defects to supervisors for scheduling maintenance.
• Adjust and supervise changes in operational parameters such as speed, temperature, pressure, and flow rates to facilitate smooth shutdown and startup processes.
• Prepare plant equipment for maintenance, ensuring accurate functioning and synchronization with other systems.
• Manage chemicals by receiving deliveries, maintaining stock and consumption records, and preparing batches as per process requirements while following all safety protocols.
• Operate machinery and equipment safely and efficiently according to company standards and directives.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental policies and procedures to protect employees, meet legal requirements, and deliver high-quality products and services responsibly.
• Obtain work permits and oversee ongoing jobs and contractors to ensure strict adherence to safety regulations and procedures.
• Serve as Auxiliary Fireman or Site Safety Officer during emergencies, following the Facility Response Plan.
• Communicate effectively and follow supervisory instructions to perform duties safely and efficiently.
• Compile and prepare management reports on key Performance Indicator checklists.

Qualification & Experience

• Technical Diploma in a relevant field or Secondary School Certificate.
• At least 4 years of experience in plant operations within a large industrial setting, preferably in the oil and gas sector.
