Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented team member to join PlaceMakers at the Huntly branch. This permanent full-time position involves a dynamic dual role supporting both the showroom/trade counter and the yard & drive-thru operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding customer service at the trade counter and showroom, offering expert product advice and solutions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with both trade and retail customers by understanding their requirements and timelines.
- Handle trade sales processing and actively contribute to showroom and trade counter growth.
- Assist in merchandising products and supporting in-store promotional activities.
- Manage customer returns, repairs, and inquiries efficiently.
- Support yard and drive-thru operations including picking, packing, and safely loading products.
- Perform loading and unloading of goods ensuring order accuracy and security.
- Monitor inventory levels, conduct cycle counts, and facilitate stock movements.
- Maintain a tidy, safe, and well-organized showroom and yard environment.
- Promote a positive team culture along with strong adherence to health and safety standards.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in customer service and/or retail sales is essential.
- A strong sales orientation with the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Positive attitude and eagerness to learn and adapt.
- Comfortable performing physical work both indoors and outdoors.
- Good communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Basic computer proficiency and numeracy skills.
- Knowledge of building or trade products is advantageous.
- Forklift license preferred, or willingness to obtain one.
- Commitment to teamwork, safety, and operational excellence.
Working Conditions
This is a permanent role, requiring 40 hours per week, with working days from Tuesday to Saturday.
