Officer, Government Relations

Overview

The Government and Regulatory Officer role involves efficiently managing and responding to official requests from Courts, Police, Public Prosecution, and Minor Affairs bodies throughout the UAE and Qatar. This position ensures that all cases involving customers and non-customers are handled accurately, in compliance with regulations, and within risk guidelines. The role also supports leadership and colleagues to meet unit goals by enforcing approved processes and collaborating with multiple internal and external stakeholders.

Core Responsibilities

• Efficiently processing UAE Court Orders in accordance with prescribed protocols.
• Managing Qatar Court Orders and Law Enforcement Agency requests within agreed service level agreements.
• Handling Police letters and inquiries across all Emirates of the UAE.
• Responding to communications from the Public Prosecution and Criminal Investigation Department in the UAE.
• Managing government-related email inboxes to promptly reply to requests and queries.
• Utilizing the Velocity - MOFT system for case processing when applicable.
• Ensuring full compliance with regulatory guidelines and internal policies in all correspondence.
• Monitoring and coordinating open cases to guarantee timely resolution.
• Contributing to initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency and service quality within the unit.
• Coordinating follow-ups and issue resolution with internal departments at Mashreq.
• Maintaining effective external relationships to ensure alignment with government entities.

Additional Information

The role requires coordination with branch and unit heads, as well as departments including CIBG, RBG, Operations, and Head Office to address issues raised by government bodies strictly following approved procedures and policies.
