Job Overview
This position involves performing comprehensive inspections and testing activities aligned with approved Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), quality protocols, and project requirements. The role demands ensuring compliance with relevant standards, codes, drawings, and contractual obligations across various disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out inspections and tests on civil, mechanical, electrical, piping, structural, and equipment installations according to ITPs.
- Validate that all construction and installation work meets the specified standards and project conditions.
- Observe and document testing activities, verifying accurate recording of results.
- Identify and report non-conformities while supporting corrective and preventive measure implementation.
- Inspect material receipt for adherence to specifications.
- Monitor structural steel fabrication and erection processes.
- Oversee piping installation, fit-up, hydrostatic, and pressure testing tasks.
- Ensure welding practices comply with WPS/PQR standards.
- Review coating, painting, and insulation applications for quality.
- Conduct electrical and instrumentation inspections where applicable.
- Verify dimensional checks, alignment, and mechanical completion verifications.
- Maintain detailed inspection reports, checklists, NCRs, punch lists, and quality documentation.
- Ensure the accuracy and organization of all inspection paperwork and maintain material and testing traceability records.
- Generate daily and weekly inspection reports for project stakeholders.
- Update quality management databases and reporting tools as required.
- Conduct inspections adhering to international quality and project standards.
- Assist in quality audits and surveillance activities.
- Promote adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations during inspections.
- Participate in quality-related meetings involving clients, contractors, and third parties.
- Coordinate with construction teams, subcontractors, and client representatives on inspection matters.
- Attend joint inspections and quality walkdowns.
- Support resolution of quality issues to meet project quality goals.
Qualifications and Certifications
- Certified CSWIP Welding Inspector.
- Certified NACE or FROSIO Coating Inspector.
- ASNT Level II in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT).
- ISO 9001 Internal Auditor qualification.
- BGAS or equivalent inspection certifications.
- Possession of relevant client-specific approvals and competencies.
