Position Summary

The Mortgage Loan Processor plays a crucial role in managing loan applications from start to finish. Responsibilities include verifying applicant details, ensuring adherence to regulations, and coordinating communication between borrowers, loan officers, and underwriters.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage complex administrative and operational tasks related to home loan applications.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with customers and third parties to gather missing documentation.
• Provide excellent customer service by regularly updating borrowers to ensure a predictable process.
• Review home loan transactions and documentation, identifying and obtaining any missing information.
• Prepare loan packages for underwriting, ensuring compliance with all guidelines and policies.
• Prioritize and manage workload to meet scheduled closing dates and internal performance standards.
• Serve as a resource and escalation contact for Loan Officers, offering guidance and training.
• Collaborate with peers, partners, and management to resolve issues and meet organizational goals.

Experience and Skills

• Minimum of 5 years experience processing mortgage loans.
• Proactive in solving problems and handling customer complaints effectively.
• Capable of managing workload independently while meeting expectations.
• Familiarity with the Encompass loan origination system advantageous.
• Competent in gathering, organizing, and interpreting data.
• Comfortable multitasking across various computer applications while engaging with customers by phone.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Compensation

The position offers an hourly wage ranging between $24 and $28.
